How can we improve CCH Central Suite?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  2. Notification to team members on a job and not just the partner

    It would be helpful if rather than notifying the partner it notified another member of the team, generally it is only managers and team members who are concerned in the workflow being updated and moving work forward rather than the partner.

  3. Give CCH Company Sec the ability to save directly to document centre

    Currently the dividend minutes and vouchers have to be downloaded then manually uploaded into document centre.

    Would be better to be able to save the files directly to document centre like say CCH accounts production can already.

  4. Allow the Step Type 'Workflow Launcher' to be available in all Workflow Types

    Currently the Step Type 'Workflow Launcher' is not available within Assignment driven Workflows, It is available in every other type of workflow except Assignment and Practice Managerment. By enabling another workflow to be launched within Assignment Workflows, this can improve communcation and interaction between departments and help with a smoother running of a practice.

  6. Update Timesheet details when filing to DM

    I think it would be useful if, when filing an email or document, you could also update your time sheet at the same time so that the same description can be pulled through on both.

    As is stands we are duplicating time on these tasks.

  7. Filing Accounts at Companies House

    Anyone else find it totally infuriating that if you go to file accounts at companies house and they fail because you have used the wrong authentication code, that - 1. you have to log right out of CCH entirely and then log back in to try again otherowise it uses the same incorrect code - and 2. that in the second year of filing you have to put the darn code in again - it doesnt retain the codes you enter? what a waste of my time!!! this needs sorting - along with the issue of the Filer showing that…

  8. Right click delete and split options

    Could consideration please be given to not have the “delete” and “split” options below each other on the right click option menu? Users have reported that they find it quite easy to delete when they meant to split a document. Maybe the “delete” option could be moved to the top?

  10. Repeat Billing - to allow both estimate to complete and misc charge on one bill

    We should be able to add a misc charge and estimate to complete on the same bill when using the repeat billing facillity.

  11. Description/Explaination for Bad debt in multi currency

    Similar to discription/explaination available on Adjustments it should be availble for Bad debt as well.

  12. Bar Codes

    We are producing documentation that is leaving the company, being processed by clients and then returned. Can standard reports be bar coded, so when they are returned to the organisation, our scanning solution can recognise what the document is and file accordingly. Massive scope for time savings on this request.

  14. Enable Version and Audit Trail for 'Permanent' and un-editable documents

    If a document is uneditable, you are uable to edit / use any properties, when the ability to view the Audit trail and Versioning (permissions permitting) would be extremely useful.

  15. extra narrative field for cash book payments

    Can we have an extra field for cash book payments? At the moment all payments have the same narrative as what is typed in the description box but if you are wanting to split the payment to different nominals, it would be good to have an extra field so each transaction has more detail.

    The "Activate Working Papers WP" Icon should be a tasked permission and not availabler to everyone to activate as once it is activated, it cannot be reversed.

  17. Allow expense sheet comments to be exported

    It would be helpful for reporting if the comments on an expense sheet would be included in the export. We use Twinfield and so would also need the option to limit the comments box to 40 characters or for the export to cut it at 40 characters

  18. Lock working papers once reviewed

    Working papers can be edited once it has been approved by a manager/partner. It would be beneficial to "lock" the file to prevent editing after approval, or once it has been approved, requiring a separate "document release" button within the WP screen that then allows editing but then requires the file to be approved once more.   19. ability to save minutes document in .docx format rather than .rtf

    Currently CCH company secretarial produces minutes in .rtf format.

    When uploaded to the document centre, CCH cannot convert this to PDF using the button on the software to then push through One click. CCH doc centre can however convert .docx files toPDF.

    Please therefore give us the ability to save .docx files from CCH Co Sec

  20. Multiply associations wont work with DM

    DM template will only pick up the first assocation on a client when attaching a smart report and not the specified associated within the report. Please can it see multipy association and not the first one in the alphabet which usually is/has agent of...
