  1. CCH Reporting options seems to be a little out of date and do not have fields for some of the recent tax return updates. e.g. Basis period reform

    An example I notice is when trying to extract what transition profits to carry forward. It also does not show the spread transition profits to be taxed in the year, a box on the return itself.

    As this is a topical issue in partnership tax, it would be useful to be able to extract this information to assist clients with their queries.

    If the partnership requested this for its partners, I think…

  2. We would like to be able to select some filtering options and see client names as we do when using the 'Batch Assign Workflow to Tax Returns' (in Maintenance> Central Workflow>Personal Tax (ref screen shots 1 and 2) to the 'Batch Update Workflow' process as currently we only have client codes showing (ref screen shot 3) which is not sufficient when working on updating 100 clients/ 6000 clients for instance. It is not filtering our clients list enough to help make a quick workflow bulk update as we have to scroll through the whole 6000 clients UTRs to chose our…

  3. OneClick Activation Status Icon Colours - On "Find Contacts/Clients" icon is either Green for Activated or Grey for not activated. However within the Client the Icon is always green if they have been invited, whether that is activated or pending. Also when you close a client OneClick has to be either suspended or deleted but on the search Contacts/clients the icon is still Green. Status would be easier/clearer to see if had Activated, Pending, Suspended or Closed colours.

  4. There should be a prompt / warning for a non-resident filing in the CGT pages with share disposal when in fact it is exempt and does not need to be completed (only residential property or shares in a property rich company are reportable). Personal tax happily let me enter the CGT share disposal of a trading company and gave me the CGT liability without warning. It ignored the non-residency. I was expecting the system to recognise non-residency like it does for income tax (dividends and excluded income)

  5. Currently if you insert a name in the assignment partner field in Assignment Templates in Maintenance you are unable to remove the name which was mistakenly selected and keep the field blank as it originally was.

    This now means I have to make the assignment template inactive and set it up again which clutters our assignment template list.

  6. It's common now to be able to select 'prefer not to say' or have an 'other' option. Even just being able to leave it blank would help. We don't want to put a client off by not being inclusive.

  7. Would you like Wolters Kluwer to look at integrating CCH Central and/or CCH iFirm into Microsoft 365 so you can send documents directly to OneDrive and use that as a preferred document storage solution

  8. It would be useful to be able to email documents directly from the Linked Documents screen, as shown in the attached screenshot.

    (A similar suggestion made by someone else was previously declined without an explanation, but I am posting this for re-consideration because it would speed up the workflow for many users.)

  9. On closure of a Client it currently overwrites the date on already closed assignments. When closing a client simply add the date of closure to any open assignments.

  10. The boxes displaying client assignments on the "Enter WIP Journals" screen are, for many clients, too small to show anything but the client name repeatedly. They cannot be resized and support can offer no workaround, making it impossible to select the correct assignments. The client name is already shown in the box above anyway so doesn't need to be displayed again. This is a bug fix request rather than an enhancement but support directed me here. Please can you give me a timescale for the resolution of this issue?

  11. Could we have a "Working Notes" Area like we do in Personal Tax for users to enter notes alongside the data entry - file notes only, not to appear on the comp.

  12. Every year, we need to update our client allocations (for promotions, loss of staff, general reshuffle).
    It would be helpful if we could export our current client allocation to excel, make the tweaks, then import it back.
    It needs to go to excel to give an overview of each individuals' allocation. I imagine it would be an easy fix as the 'Partnership Statement Import/Export' function could be copied.

  13. When preparing a return for submission, the 'auto-refresh' feature of validation should be disabled or made optional. As it stands, validation occurs every time an attachment is added. A better approach would be to have a button that initiates validation only upon completion, which could save considerable time.

  14. I would like to send the return with IR Mark to the client for approval. However, if I try to send a return from the Online filing section direct to Document Management it goes into a zip folder and so it can't be sent onto the client for signature via One Click. Printing to pdf, saving somewhere then uploading is far more cumbersome and increases the risks of the wrong return being sent out.
    It is very frustrating that you design a simple method for sending documents but design it so that it isn't useful.

  15. You can add an extra field to a document when uploading to CCH, but you cannot then view the extra field in the main screen without looking in the properties of the documents.
    It would be great if we could have a field chooser option to show the extra field in the main DM view.

  16. There is currently no non-current accrued interest payable nominal. There needs to be a non-current equivalent to 8094 disclosed in non-current liabilities that has the same non-cash effect to the cashflow as nominal 8094.

  17. It would save a lot of time if there was a calculation showing how the 'tax on transition profits' figure in the tax calculation is reached. I believe at the moment there is no back up calculation of that so to check the figure it would have to be manually calculated.

  18. When viewing the job management screen, within the 'assigned to' column, you can right click and remove all, which removes all the people within the assigned to column. If the individual didn't have their screen filtered to their jobs, they can remove the assignee from every job within the business.
    This function is far too easy for someone to use, there should be more control in place.
    Either:
    1. Have an 'Are you sure' type yes/no box pop up when you click it.
    2. Include it within the task permissions so we can limit who has the permissions to use…

I can see this has been raised a couple of times by others but subsequently declined however, it would be useful from a reviewer perspective to be able to mark individual lines within a schedule as reviewed, in the same way as you can mark individual lines as complete, as opposed to having to lock the whole schedule.

    I can see that a previous response from WK has been that the assumption is that full data has been entered and so marking the whole schedule as complete is sufficient. However, I would argue that it is not sufficient as although…

  20. It would be great if we could have the ability to edit workflows that have already been started.

    At present we would need to create a new workflow and then either terminate current workflows and add them to the new one or have them automatically moved to the new one upon completion of the current one. (Used for assignments and jobs).
