  2. We had two partners retire - their clients needed to moved over to new partners on 1/5/2024. So the end date for the previous partner was 30/4/2024

    ERROR WITH END DATE
    Firstly, on the 30 April the clients showed on neither partner list so we could not extract the report data we needed. The date the partner ended doesn't seem to include the end date and you are unable to use the same end and start date. This meant for a day our clients were not allocated to any partner.

  4. Particularly in charity accounts, often notes will span two pages and this can be unhelpful when comparing one year with another when the comparative details are on the next page. Sometimes this can then lead to the next note also being split over two pages.

    In this situation, the solution is to make the note local and add a page break at the top of the page. This, however, makes the page a local format which then does not benefit from master pack updates until it is reverted to master.

  5. It would be useful to be able to enter a billing explanation during the billing wizard rather than having to exit and edit the bill amounts again to access the feature.

  6. We maintain a large portfolio where not every company has the same auditor. As such, the paragraphs within the audit report differ from the standard audit paragraphs within CCH. We have created specific paragraphs for use depending on who the auditor is of that company which we select from the drop down in the stat database. The issue we have is that when we do a master pack change/roll-forward, these paragraphs revert back to the CCH default paragraphs and we have to go back through and re-select our paragraphs from the drop down again.

  7. In the default tab of existing client there is a delivery option for invoices and statements to be sent by email or post with the default being post.

    On initial setup of a client in step 7 of 8 there is no option to choose the default delivery meaning all clients get set to post it would be better if the option was available as this turns out to be a costly exercise until someone goes into clients separately to alter the default

  8. Would it be possible to please link the CT600 signatory box to a contact/client record rather than it being a text box and requiring manual input? The reason being is simple, typos made by junior staff.

    In accounts the directors must be set up as a contact/client so surely we can do the same for CT600.

    If this is not possible for the on premises software can it certainly be considered for cloud, iFirm please?

  9. Can you allow the 2 ID expiry fields, which are currently accessed via the main tab, to be both searchable fields and mailmerge fields

  10. There is no way to bulk update the tax return status bar. As there are some reports which only pick up tax returns with a certain status showing in the status bar, it would be useful to be able to bulk update this.

  11. Allow documents to be created via "create" button from the global document centre onto clients/into client library rather than requiring you to go into the client first, navigate to the client document centre tab first - if nothing else being able to open a identical screen that doesn't let you add something to the client library is a bit confusing.

  12. Would be useful to have the Company Name and Code available in the list of merge fields when creating a Word template. We have several companies setup in Central which need different wording in the footers and we can only determine the company via the Office Code at the moment.

  16. Would you value an add on to CCH tax modules that automatically spots opportunities for you to advise your clients on where they can make savings on tax. This would allow you and your firm to either begin to offer tax planning and advisory, or streamline and simply our current tax planning/advisory offering.

  17. If someone@accountant.co.uk sends an email to another@accountant.co.uk DM does not show "another" that "someone" has already filed the sent email. If both "someone" and "another" had received the same email they would get a warning when the second person tried to file it. Would be useful for managers (for example) to be able to know that the sent email had been filed without duplicating it as a received email.

  18. Currently when submitting a CT600 if the HMRC servers are busy the current CCH advice is to close the screen after 4 minutes and wait for the email response from HMRC then update the CT600 status manually.

    Could CCH change so when submitting a CT600 if no response is received from HMRC after a few minutes the software would set the status to pending, inform us to check again later and allow us to exit the online filing screen and then allow us to query the HMRC servers again for a response until either an accepted or rejected status is…

  19. I want to have the Accounts Status field in smart reports to have the ability to show a drop down when running reports to show open or closed or all. At the moment this is not possible and would like to get this raised.

  20. It would be useful for the software to restrict the foreign tax entered down to the treaty rate. At present there is no restriction applied by the software so you have to manually restrict in order to get the correct result.
