How can we improve CCH Central Suite?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. Improve polling for accounts submitted to Companies House

    We can see when accounts have been accepted by Companies House by checking Companies House, however CCH submissions database will still show as pending even if something has been submitted days/weeks ago. When you click on the blue pending hyperlink within the database it will then tell you it is accepted and change the blue pending hyperlink to 'Accepted'. When the database does it's polling can this field be updated so that it shows the correct position without having to manually update it.

  2. Improve tagging when correcting tags in 1 set to avoid having to do the process twice

    It is time consuming having to tag both the members set and the small companies filing set individually, especially when having to amend any tags. For example a common tagging error is when a note spans 2 pages (not sure why the software can't recognise this) so you have to delete, adjust and amend the tag in both sets doing it twice. It would be better if the software recognised any changes to tagging made in the members set and replicated these in the filing copy.

  3. DPL tagging process and non numeric tags on wages

    Tags are being allocated automatically by the CCH on the DPL for wages. When accepting and clearing these a message pops up to say non numeric tags have been allocated and do we want to remove. If leaving them in it causes errors, removing means retagging. Support suggest this is the way that CCH is and to remove the tags. If tags are being auto allocated then can they be designed in a way which won't cause further errors.

  4. Additional information on Companies House filing history and status tab

    There should be more information on the Companies House Filing history and status tab - like client code and client partner to give better report information

  5. Reminder that licence is due to expire

    When the licence for Review & Tag (Companies House filing) expires there is no warning given by the system. Therefore it will just lapse and suddenly the option to file accounts is greyed out and it took a while to work out why! (this happened to us on the 30th April! Can we have a pop up reminder when it is expiring like Accounts Production and other services do so at least people know why its not functioning.

  6. The process of filing to HMRC an companies house is far too time consuming

    There should be a tick box option to choose which accounts to file to companies house and which to HMRC.
    Having to create an iXBRL file twice is really frustrating. Especially when IRIS and tax calc do this already at a click of a button.

  7. Automatically define cost of sales, distribution costs and admin expenses on the detailed P&L

    The process of tagging the detailed P&L is already quite time consuming despite the DPL tagging automation being in place but the software should at least be able to automatically define the expense type areas rather than it being a manual process.

  8. Selecting from a list of tags

    If a block of information - say a related party note which has a mixture of text and figures - contains multiple tags, it is very difficult to select a particular tag to edit or delete.
    Review & Tag just presents a list of tags without any indication which is which - there should be a highlight to indicate which tag has been selected

  9. Direct filing to Companies House for Charity Accounts

    I have had confirmation from Companies House iXBRL department that electronic filing of Incorporated Charity accounts is now possible. We have a high proportion of Charity clients and would like to take advantage of this.

    When will this functionality be added to Review and Tag?

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    I believe we already have the ability to fully tag an incorporated charity using the correct taxonomy so I am not sure why we would not be able to electronically file the accounts.

    I will do some investigations and get back to you.

  10. Better reporting of tags used in document

    The used tags report which exports to CSV is a long and wide report which is difficult to read or view - could we have something more compact and easier to print?

  11. Easier deletion of multiple tags

    It would be good when an area of text has a number of tags to delete or edit a number of tags, rather than one at a time

    This is particularly useful when a document is tagged from a template

  12. Fix DPL tagging on FRS 105 accounts

    This has been a known issue since October. Is there any timescale on a fix as this is increasing the time it takes to tag accounts which isn't ideal at one of the busiest times of year.
