WIP enquiry screen layout - customisations being lost
Currently it is possible to view the WIP enquiry screen from either the client record or an assignment record.
Most of the time our users do this from the client record and they have customised the layout accordingly - i.e. comments column added, WIP grouped by assignment and job. Occasionally though there is a need to view the WIP enquiry screen from an assignment record say when viewing an assignment based report that has a tag for the assignment WIP enquiry screen - clicking on the link.
The problem is when viewing the WIP enquiry screen from an assignment record…

Descriptions in Central do not export line by line into Twinfield even in 2019.3
Sales invoices which are now automated export in 2019.3 still do not export the descriptions, line by line into Twinfield. The description only comes over in the 1st line only.
This is the same with expenses.
After each export, we have to go into each transaction and enter the description into the blank field as the transaction history is blank when users are looking for an analysis of a nominal code.
See attached code which is blank....1 voteThanks for taking the time to add this to UserVoice.
There are no plans to implement this.

To imporve the current method of duplicated transactions being identified and rejected.
The current software only looks at the date and the SEDOL number for the share transaction. This means that even though transactions may happen on the same day, they can have a different number of shares sold/purchased or purchase/selling cost but will still show up as being duplicated and be rejected from the import. This means day trading portfolios have lots of 'duplicate' transactions which have to be input manually.
Alternatively a way in which the duplicate transactions that are flagged when imported can be authorised to be over ridden to allow the user to import them.

Allow documents/papers to be rolled forward on year-end, like notes.
Documents e.g. excel working papers or client info should be able to have a tick to roll forward on year-end like notes do.
It is a pain to have to go back through DM to re-add last year's papers.41 votes -
Unable to delete clients and contacts linked to group billing
When trying to delete closed clients we keep getting the message 'This client cannot be deleted as it has taken part in group billing'
Can we please have a solution for removing closed clients linked to group billing?

Reminder that licence is due to expire
When the licence for Review & Tag (Companies House filing) expires there is no warning given by the system. Therefore it will just lapse and suddenly the option to file accounts is greyed out and it took a while to work out why! (this happened to us on the 30th April! Can we have a pop up reminder when it is expiring like Accounts Production and other services do so at least people know why its not functioning.

Email recipients
The option to choose a recipient should be a feature on all entities, at present this can't be done for individuals where they are type "Other person". It's not always the case that the email is going to the primary email address which is likely to be that of the individual, you could be sending documents to an associated contact of the individual eg stockbroker/solicitor

Allow viewing and zoom controls on prior period finalised working papers
Once a period has been finalised, everything gets locked down (which is good), however this extends to the viewing controls in Working Papers.
The entire pdf/excel/word viewer is locked down, rather than just the "edit" button. (Seems like lazy software development to me). This is then frustrating to review prior period documents for reference, as you can't even zoom in on them etc. I agree, buttons such as edit and checking out etc should be disabled, but the zoom controls and viewing the document shouldn't be locked down.
An extremely poor oversight for UX.14 votes -
Staff expense attached documents new in 2019.2 to export to Twinfield
With the new employee expense sheet ability in 2019.2 to add a document, we have achieved this in Central, but have an additional request. We use Twinfield and export our expenses out of Central into Twinfield purchase ledger which are posted directly to nominals. Can the attached document in Central export to Twinfield and be able to view from the cost posted in Twinfield on the nominal account?

The process of filing to HMRC an companies house is far too time consuming
There should be a tick box option to choose which accounts to file to companies house and which to HMRC.
Having to create an iXBRL file twice is really frustrating. Especially when IRIS and tax calc do this already at a click of a button.12 votesThank you for the suggestion. We will continue to monitor support for this idea.

Have a simple button to file the submission report for the personal tax return into the document centre
It is a bit long winded to end up with a copy of the DTA or the submission report in DM when using personal tax. There is the option when either are open to create a PDF, open in word, print etc and it would be great if there was another option to file in the document centre. At the moment you have to go through several steps to get a copy into DM which seems not necessary as you are in CCH when you open it.

Holdover Relief
Increase the available space in the fields to enter information for items 5 and 6 on 2nd page of the form. We can currently only include 60 characters in each field, which is not enough and there is plenty of room on the form itself for more.

Fix the way links work on CCH papers
If you create a link on a schedule such as Administrative Expenses, it creates a link on every single item on the page, as it is attaching the link to the range, rather than the line item you clicked to link.
This is extremely frustrating, when trying to justify where multiple figures on a document have come from and they're all pointing at the same thing.Again, a poor oversight on UX that is impacting us daily, and I'm sure many others.

"Year End" field and "Next Accounts due" field on Main tab
Could a "Next Accounts due" field be added to the main tab and could a "Check with Companies House & Update" button be added similar to that in many Company Secretarial software programs. If you could also "bulk check and update" these fields this would make tracking of deadlines far simpler and avoid having to keep the same information in multiple places and manually updating it.

Warning to restrict Foreign Tax deducted to Double Taxation Treaty amount
I understand that it is not possible for you to restrict foreign tax according to the Double Taxation Treaties. However, a warning to remind us to check if a restriction is necessary would be helpful.

30-day matching
Certain entities, such as offshore trusts, do not use the 30-day matching rule. It would be good to select to turn this off on certain dividend and CGT lists.

Automatically calculating sample sizes using section specfic materialitty
Despite this supposedly being an integrated system, I have been informed it does NOT use the lower section specific materiality (when this has been included). All that is does it to note the lower section specifically materiality under the performance materiality so you have the option to adjust if you wish.
We therefore need, on every job where there is a lower section specific materiality to manually adjust the performance materiality (in the sample calculator) which needs to be calculated as the section materiality divided by risk factor for that area.
It would be better if system automatically used the…

Prevent edits to TB's imported from AP
At the moment, once a TB has been imported from AP into AA, users can still override and make manual edits to the trial balance.
Once an import has been done from AP, the only way users should be able to modify the data is via journals.
Please can you consider locking this done for AP imports.
