  1. Whilst there is an option to start a workflow on the posting of a bill we would benefit from having an earlier start point when the bill is drafted so that it can be assigned to the appropriate staff member at the various stages.

    It would need to be only at the point of the draft invoice being ok'd and not automatically on the creation of the billing wizard as sometimes these are aborted.

    If it could follow into the 'Bill Posted' workflow that would be great but it it needed a new workflow created instead then that is not…

  2. we have many client organisations who have(for example) a director with 2 different email address - one is to be used for billing and the other one is to be used for accounts queries. This director is associated to the ltd company as billing contact and as accounts contact, however both associations pull through the same primary email address.
    We need to be able to select which email address is the primary for each association. e.g. when creating, the association of billing contact select Email 2, and when creating the association for Director select primary Email.

  3. It would be really beneficial to be able to select an assignment/job from the accounts production/working papers side so when these pull into Document Management everthing is organised in the correct place.

  4. As we use some customised job names we can't use the Roll Forward facility because you can't customise the algorithm. This would be useful in both saving time for regular jobs (ie monthly roll forward) and would ensure that the same format is being used by all staff

  5. Why, once an invoice is created in CCH, doesn't the default highlight go to the most recently created invoice? It goes to the first invoice created in that day so you have to scroll up to the relevant invoice. It should default to the most recently created invoice - for more logical!

    Sorry for the rant but I'm doing loads of invoice and I keep having to scroll up!!

  6. Include billing expanation in statement. Invoice date and number is included in the statement but there's no way to add any detail and the clients come back asking what each invoice relates to. As the billing explanation isn't an included field the only way to do this is generate statement in Word and then manually insert invoice detail for each entry

  7. An option of entering date in working papers manually rather than auto filling of date based on system date will be helpful for the firms in presenting it audit files to regulatory reviewer. Reason behind is that sometimes firms have to issue audit report on some back date on the insistence of client despite the fact that audit work was performed on current dates and in current scenario it not possible to provide any justification to regulatory reviewer regarding the date issue.

  8. If a client name includes either : or / (the same may apply on some other characters) then when running a mail merge to email with a smart report being attached (e.g. debtor statements) the merge fails on that client because the file name and path are invalid.

    Can you include some error handling so that these characters are stripped out when generating the file path. We have several clients this applies to where the legal company name at Companies House includes one of these characters so renaming the client is not an option.

  9. Export to excel - Calculated fields in the CCH Report should be included when the CCH report is exported.

    The only way to export the calculated fields is using the export at the top left of the screen then the whole spreadsheet comes over as a text file which has no value for data manipulation.

  10. At present, the pension master pack does not incorporate the same chart of accounts as Accounts Production. This means that figures have to be posted seperately into each, and cannot be transferred directly between the two. The Charity master pack was recently updated to reflect this.

  11. In many countries, audit files are subject to review by external regulators like The Institute or the Audit Oversight Boards.

    In previous borland database version, there is a possibility to give audit file to the reviewer for a particular client and for a particular year as a backup. This is the secured practice to give access to external reviewer to that extent he or she required.

    However, in the updated version, you can not restrict external reviewer to the required year. If you give access to reviewer to the client, he or she can access previous years without any permission.…

  12. This would be particularly useful where a mail merge has been done and the incorrect or no assignment has been selected at the time of creation rather than having to update each individual document

  13. When opening a client if ON HOLD this flags up for further investigation. An additional status like SEE NOTES then the flag/flash directs to any instruction re client

  14. When you run a report eg balancing descending this works, when you run the client list based on this report in order to mail merge, it creates the list in alphabetical format rather than by balance descending as the original report has done. In order to select a group of clients you need to be able to view both reports at the same time and scroll up and down to select your merge group

  15. At the moment any word documents added via the Documents tab is being saved as a .doc document. Would it be possible to change to save as .docx? Attach screenshot to illustrate.

  16. We would like to be able to apply different payment terms to specific types of fees that we issue to clients such as payroll fees.

    It would therefore be really helpful if we could apply the payment terms / days at transaction level when raising an invoice (say in Stage One of the Billing Wizard) overriding any default payment terms / days that have been applied at client level.

    This will then really help with our credit control process some of which is now automated and free up even more of our credit controllers time.

  18. We have a number of charities which there is no option to attach a working papers template and says it is not supported, would be helpful if this was put into development so we can store files all in the same place.
    We also have an enity for trusts which we adapted from a partnership entity to match the layout required, this has the same issue of not supporting working papers so if there was a way to manually bring in a working paper template it would save having different filing sources.

  19. Would it be possible to only display the most recent linked email in the main search results rather than every one? The previous emails can be seen by clicking on the link number in any case.

  20. Add hours column to help with cilling descriptions, so you dont have to go elsewhere to run a WIP enquiry to get this info.
