  1. There should be a tick box option to choose which accounts to file to companies house and which to HMRC.
    Having to create an iXBRL file twice is really frustrating. Especially when IRIS and tax calc do this already at a click of a button.

  2. I understand that it is not possible for you to restrict foreign tax according to the Double Taxation Treaties. However, a warning to remind us to check if a restriction is necessary would be helpful.

  3. When trying to delete closed clients we keep getting the message 'This client cannot be deleted as it has taken part in group billing'

    Can we please have a solution for removing closed clients linked to group billing?

  4. Company Authentication code - Is there any way you guys can include a new field in database where we can enter company authentication code so it makes easy for all of us while entering master data all the information is there.

  6. Documents e.g. excel working papers or client info should be able to have a tick to roll forward on year-end like notes do.
    It is a pain to have to go back through DM to re-add last year's papers.

  7. It is a bit long winded to end up with a copy of the DTA or the submission report in DM when using personal tax. There is the option when either are open to create a PDF, open in word, print etc and it would be great if there was another option to file in the document centre. At the moment you have to go through several steps to get a copy into DM which seems not necessary as you are in CCH when you open it.

  8. Please can you make this process a bit more user friendly. You have to do too many clicks into different screens and it just becomes cumbersome. Could you not just do a right click to add/delete. To delete an asset you have to go through 2 or 3 screens and then click delete twice, very time consuming from a users point of view

  9. The ability to check in all documents you have had checked out during the day would be fantastic.

    This would add so much ease rather than having to go back through and remember which were checked out throughout the day which can be extremely time consuming.

  10. It would be incredible helpful to be able sign off/review more than one document at a time. The signing off of documents individually is one of the most time consuming aspects of reviewing a file on CCH working papers.

    Hi Joanna

    The standard CCH Trust pages do not use Notes to the Accounts and include all the detail in the principle financial statements.

    However the standard CCH Probate pages do include Notes.

    The note number of specific notes can be picked up in a paragraph using a formula like :
    Accrued income is shown in note {Note,note04ai}.

    The pages used to print the notes can be printed using a formula like:
    … as shown in the Notes to the accounts on pages {NotePageRange,0}.

    One point that catches some users out is that you have to preview the full accounts to see note and page references; they are not visible if you just view one page.

    Hopefully one or other of these formulae gives you what you are looking for.

  12. Why is there no APP for updating time records for remote workers?

    A major selling point of CCH was its Time Recording system, if I have to go back to a spreadsheet when I am travelling the world, it kind of defeats the benefit

  13. Could a "Next Accounts due" field be added to the main tab and could a "Check with Companies House & Update" button be added similar to that in many Company Secretarial software programs. If you could also "bulk check and update" these fields this would make tracking of deadlines far simpler and avoid having to keep the same information in multiple places and manually updating it.

  15. It would be really helpful if we could keep actual expense details on self employments or property for both us and our clients to compare to the TAPAs claim, especially as it is quite common fo clients to remember additional expenses after sending their initial information to us.

    If we built in some business rules you could probably do that in Accounts Production but that seems a bit overkill for what is likely to be a very simple case.

    Are you likely to be providing this type of client with a P&L? Or is it just a matter of putting figures into the tax return only?

  17. I have had confirmation from Companies House iXBRL department that electronic filing of Incorporated Charity accounts is now possible. We have a high proportion of Charity clients and would like to take advantage of this.

    When will this functionality be added to Review and Tag?

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    I believe we already have the ability to fully tag an incorporated charity using the correct taxonomy so I am not sure why we would not be able to electronically file the accounts.

    I will do some investigations and get back to you.

  18. The used tags report which exports to CSV is a long and wide report which is difficult to read or view - could we have something more compact and easier to print?

  19. If a block of information - say a related party note which has a mixture of text and figures - contains multiple tags, it is very difficult to select a particular tag to edit or delete.
    Review & Tag just presents a list of tags without any indication which is which - there should be a highlight to indicate which tag has been selected

  20. It would be good when an area of text has a number of tags to delete or edit a number of tags, rather than one at a time

    This is particularly useful when a document is tagged from a template
