I NEED YOUR SUPPORT AND VOTES TO MAKE DM MORE PRACTICAL!!!
Currently when an email is received from a client by user1 who file the email in DM and then forward the same email to use2 (without making any changes), the email is filed again automatically. If user2 then forward it to user3 to action, this email is filed again. User3 will respond to the same email to user2 who will then respond to user1 once the work have been completed. Workflow Email Notification - Support Microsoft365 users
Wolters Kluwer / CCH do not support Microsoft365 for email notification for workflow steps.
Considering Microsoft365 is the most widely used platform it make no sense why we cannot use it. Even WK/CCH internally is on this platform!
I recently tried to introduce workflow email notification and found the to enable it you must put the credentials into a table within the back end of your SQL server, When dealing with support I have now been told I have done everything correct but 365 is not supported.

Merge Document save as PDF
On creating a mail merge document, as a huge number of clients do not have access to MS Word, can they be converted to PDF on creation to email out. Also it would be useful to be able to attach to an email template for bulk issue. Were advised by Support to raise the PDF creation.

Assignment Frequency & Algorithm
Currently, the 'weekly' algorithm only allows you to choose Wk1 / Wk2 ... Wk 50 / Wk 52 etc. It would be more helpful if the algorithm could relate to a particular date e.g. 'week-ending' 4-Apr and it then repeated weekly by date moving forward.

Its very difficult to track which email you have open if you have a lot of emails with the same or similar titles or many in a conversation

Reduction in scan quality
The scan quality can drop drastically when using the Scan function. This does not happen when the same pdf document is uploaded into DM directly.
Can we have the ability to drag and drop pdf documents in the Scan area where we only want to use the splitting function and not the OCR function which reduces the quality please.3 votes -

Can we have the abilty to add an Employee to the Partnership tab, currently we have to create an employee record and a contact record.

Reporting from Online Filing
It would be useful to be able to report from the Online Filing section of CCH Personal tax. We would be looking to report examples such as IRMarks, whether the return is an original, amendment 1, amendment 2 etc.

Microsoft Power Platform Connector
CCH product Team it would be good to see a CCH Connector in to Microsoft Power Platform i.e. Microsoft Power Automate or Microsoft Power BI or even Microsoft Power Virtual Agent that would allow Microsoft to connect CCH Central.
For example several client onboarding tasks should be able to be completed by using a flow from Microsoft Dynamics in to CCH Central.

Exclude Closed Clients on Email filing
When filing emails it brings up all contacts when searching but doesnt have the option to 'exclude closed' - could this be added as it would save having to trawl through lots of 'smiths'!

Support Microsoft 365 AutoSave functionality
Something that will prevent a lot of headache for your clients going forward! AutoSave will be enabled by default for a lot of people when migrating to new versions of Office, currently trying to upload or checkin when AutoSave is enabled does nothing.

Personal Tax Review Tool
The review tool is great for keeping review points within the system and reducing time spent, it would however be good to see the following:
-Audit of who has added notes on the PDF report
-A place to add general notes not necessarily associated to a source of income
-HICBC - this doesn't seem to be picked up as missing when in the prior year?This would enhance the product a great deal, Thanks

Add inactive option to internal partner list to remove ex-partners
Ex-partners still appear in drop down searches even though the linked employee record is inactive. Having an inactive option in the Internal > Partners area would allow you to stop this.

Upload to Multiple Codes Prevents Task
If a document is uploaded to multiple client codes and then a task is created, the task does not show up on task lists, only on the documents inbox.
Tasks only show up on the task lists if a document is uploaded to one code, the task created and then the second client code added.
This increases the likelihood of documents going missing as most staff only use the task list not the documents in box.
We have 'lost' several documents as a result of this as staff do not always upload and add the task in the right order…3 votes -
ITS 51077 MergeField not picking up values
The mergeField is not picking quiet few fields when creating documents that can be used as templates. One of the examples is the UTR mergefield is not being picked up and the end users have to keep typing the UTR everytime the standard letter is created which would have been pciked up automatically by the merge field. This is quite unproductive and frustrating.

Associated contact details of open clients
Contact details of associated open clients - when attempting to run a report of email addresses of contacts associated with a client I can get everything I need but unable to filter out associated contacts of open clients. This would be really useful for producing a mailing list for e-newsletters where we act for a company but not a director (we would stil want the director to receive the newsletter). Equally, the company's financial coltroller etc etc who is associated should receive.

Ability to add custom algorithms or Ability to overtype standard job names
As we use some customised job names we can't use the Roll Forward facility because you can't customise the algorithm. This would be useful in both saving time for regular jobs (ie monthly roll forward) and would ensure that the same format is being used by all staff

Mail/email merge from report/smart report
When you run a report eg balancing descending this works, when you run the client list based on this report in order to mail merge, it creates the list in alphabetical format rather than by balance descending as the original report has done. In order to select a group of clients you need to be able to view both reports at the same time and scroll up and down to select your merge group
