  1. CCH Reporting options seems to be a little out of date and do not have fields for some of the recent tax return updates. e.g. Basis period reform

    An example I notice is when trying to extract what transition profits to carry forward. It also does not show the spread transition profits to be taxed in the year, a box on the return itself.

    As this is a topical issue in partnership tax, it would be useful to be able to extract this information to assist clients with their queries.

    If the partnership requested this for its partners, I think…

  2. Would like to hide some reports from the list available to use
    eg debtor statements has 9 listed but would only like to show the two we currently use
    Aware we can delete them but they may be of use at a later date, a few have MYOB & CCH which may use as a template in future too

  3. When running a report, if any filters are added then the report does not work and throws up an SQL error. The suggested workaround is to use the filter editor which also does not work well, as when a new filter is added in the editor, the list of report headings which you can filter by are all invisible. You therefore have to guess which report heading you are selecting in the list, which looks blank but each row in the list does actually correspond to a report heading.

    It would be good to have the SQL error fixed or…

  4. I built a smart report which showed the client, assignment name and the total hours for the assignment.
    I then wanted to filter it by the Employee Dept.
    The I needed to exclude a couple of departments, when i added the syntax for not including the two assignments it then dropped the filter for the Employee Dept.
    When I spoke to CCH the only way round this was to exclude an assignment in the Assignment code and then the other in the assignment name.

    It would be good if we can have multiple filters on a report where we can…

  6. When generating a "Smart Report" using the "Year End" date from the client "Main" tab the report presents the date in day and month format, but drops off the year.

    It would be useful for the report to also show the year so that a list of year ends can be generated when the clients accounts are not being prepared through accounts production.

    Seeing as the field on the "Main" tab does require a year to be entered I can only assume the report would need to be slightly adjusted.

    I appreciate that this year would need to be manually…

  7. We have been comparing figures from Acs Production against the existing MTD reports and the Other Income figure under TXOTHBUSINC is not reportable within the Personal Tax options within Reporting. It would be very useful to have this added. Thanks

  8. It would be great if name fields eg Assignment Partners, Assignment Managers, Partners, Managers, Client Name etc could be configurable so we can show it as Firstname Lastname not Lastname, Firstname as then it would match other systems

  9. Currently there are lots of reports in Smart reports/Reporting tab some of which are useful, some of which are pointless and unsuable for any meaningful information unless heavily edited. I can hardly ever get the information I need easily or at the click of a button.

    When creating reports some fields are unreportable on, for example employee charge out rates, you can only report on them from a WIP perspective, not just pull a report to see whos rate is what. We should be able to report on every field in some way or another.

  11. Eg in february i can not enter the date 31/01/2020 without having to enter the month first as it wont let me go past the 28/02/21 due the fields starting with todays date. This runs throughout central.

  12. Unable to create new reports in the Workflow section of reporting. When selecting to save a report the drop down list of sections end at Practice Management - and doesn't include Workflow.

    Please correct this so that users can create their own reports in this section.

Contact details of associated open clients - when attempting to run a report of email addresses of contacts associated with a client I can get everything I need but unable to filter out associated contacts of open clients. This would be really useful for producing a mailing list for e-newsletters where we act for a company but not a director (we would stil want the director to receive the newsletter). Equally, the company's financial coltroller etc etc who is associated should receive.
