Close client routine
Closing a client should promtp to close all open workflows, joblines, and tasks. At the moment you can close a client with a part completed tax return workflow.
Also it shoud not be possible to create a tax return when a client is closed (currently it is).

Add a feature to archive or close contacts rather than just delete.
With only the option to delete a contact it is extremely frustrating to have to move documents from a contact to a client in document manager in order to delete them because you have to keep the documents for a certain period of time by law. These are contacts that we do not want to show up in reports anymore but may well be needed again in the future which if they are deleted means setting them up again and having to search for where their documents are to re attach them to the contact.

When creating an invoice, the most recent invoice is at the top of the list when you get to print it
When creating invoices, when I get to the list to print, the invoice I have just created is not the one where the list defaults, ie the one with the arrow next to it. At the minute, say for example I've created 10 invoices over the course of a morning, every time I finish the invoice then go to print, it defaults to the first invoice created that day, not the most recent - this is higly infuriating - is there a setting to change and if not, why not?

When entering dates you can't enter the 31 as a day without changing the month first
Eg in february i can not enter the date 31/01/2020 without having to enter the month first as it wont let me go past the 28/02/21 due the fields starting with todays date. This runs throughout central.

Be able to report on Documents from the Clients Documents tab
We are now linking pdf files to clients via the Documents tab.
There is currently no way to report on this, so there is no way to see which clints do or dont have the documents linked yet.

A preview of the bill narative within the billing main screen would make approval much quicker...

Add a collapse all button for the different folders
when there are a lot of documents, it takes a while to scroll down to the folder I want to look in, so to be able to collapse all folders and then straightaway see the folder I want would be more effiicient.

When "email already filed" message comes up add Doc iD in message
Its very difficult to track which email you have open if you have a lot of emails with the same or similar titles or many in a conversation

Reduction in scan quality
The scan quality can drop drastically when using the Scan function. This does not happen when the same pdf document is uploaded into DM directly.
Can we have the ability to drag and drop pdf documents in the Scan area where we only want to use the splitting function and not the OCR function which reduces the quality please.3 votes -
Partnership - Contacts - Employee
Can we have the abilty to add an Employee to the Partnership tab, currently we have to create an employee record and a contact record.

When bulk updating documents within a client, you normally do not want to have to search for the same client
When bulk updating documents within a client specific DM tab, step 1 of the field chooser should not have client/contact/assignment/job all on one line, as we have to then select the client again. in most instances we are not changing the client it is a bulk update of assignment and jobs that are done regularly, especially in relation to AP and working papers. Can this therefore appear as a separate item like other things on step one of the bulk update screen. Requested by Fozia Muddassir from Reddy Siddiqui LLP

Reporting from Online Filing
It would be useful to be able to report from the Online Filing section of CCH Personal tax. We would be looking to report examples such as IRMarks, whether the return is an original, amendment 1, amendment 2 etc.

Microsoft Power Platform Connector
CCH product Team it would be good to see a CCH Connector in to Microsoft Power Platform i.e. Microsoft Power Automate or Microsoft Power BI or even Microsoft Power Virtual Agent that would allow Microsoft to connect CCH Central.
For example several client onboarding tasks should be able to be completed by using a flow from Microsoft Dynamics in to CCH Central.

Exclude Closed Clients on Email filing
When filing emails it brings up all contacts when searching but doesnt have the option to 'exclude closed' - could this be added as it would save having to trawl through lots of 'smiths'!

Ability to deactivate invoice write off types that are no longer required.
CCH does not allow you to amend a write off type and keep historic entries as was.
We therefore need to add a new write off type but need to disable the old one that is no longer required.This is currently not possible.5 votes -
Efiling Emails and PDFs
currently, if you upload a PDF from 2019 then that is the created date that shows, however if you upload an email from the same date, the created date shows as today. Would be great if the created date could be the date of the actual email.

Support Microsoft 365 AutoSave functionality
Something that will prevent a lot of headache for your clients going forward! AutoSave will be enabled by default for a lot of people when migrating to new versions of Office, currently trying to upload or checkin when AutoSave is enabled does nothing.

Saving into HR libraries
After spending half a day scanning HR documents in, I found out that you can't save them to the HR library. Could this be sorted please?
