  1. CCH does not currently suport macro enabled excel templates to be stored within DM. Please extend the system to allow these,

  2. When a notification email is sent from a worflow, could the email be populated with the client ID as well s the task id

  3. It would be massively useful to all practices to have a simple report/document that compares the Tax Return data to the last year so you can have an at-a-glance comparative. This will allow an effective review once the Return is completed, as well as helping to complete the preparation.

    We currently keep track of all of the above on a paper template and I had hoped to use Return Review as a digital alternative, however I do not believe it is as useful as we hoped.

    Return Review does what we need in part, but much of what is produced…

  4. Proper ordered management of all the various documents supplied by clients would greatly help the review stage of a Tax Return - especially for those staff who had not prepared the Return. Tailored sections (to suit each firm/practice) for keeping standard WP files for all clients would make life much easier - as with CCH Audit Automation (ProAudit) and CCH Working Papers Management for Accounts Production. Thanks!

    Hi Gary

    We have a very exciting project in the early stages of development right now that we think will revolutionise the collation of documents for personal tax.

    Within that functionality will be concise document management to simplify the review process.

  5. It would be great to have a PDF button (like the one in the bills screen) where you can select an document press PDF and it converts to a PDF for you. the current process is to save as to a location and upload back to the document centre

  7. Sometimes a backup may need to be done during the day due to some planned activity. I need to be able to see who is logged in to get them out. All communication may have been sent out, some users may not remember and still be entering data. Then if a restore has to be done they would have lost any work entered during that time.

    Given that the software is on-premise and hosted in your local environment, it is not possible for the software to recognise active users.


    This will be considered as part of the development of our cloud solution.

  8. The ability to run reports against partnerships/LLP's is severely restricted as the content to report on is just not available.
    If there is an entry that can be made on a Tax Return (or anywhere in Central!) then there is a database netry and we should be able to report on it. This is just not the case and has not been for a number of years.

  9. When uploading documents it would help massively if you could change the date at this point rather than having to go back into the clients record, then document and change it there. Its very time consuming.

  10. It would be easier if we could use keyboard shortcuts for the 'admin' side of Central. For example, using Ctrl & backspace and Ctrl * C/V - these currently do not work and instead you get little squares.

    I’m pleased to be able to share that the ability to perform AML checks on an individual will be available from the end of April 2021.

    This is in partnership with Veriphy and is accessed via the new Client List feature that will be made available in CCH OneClick at the same time.

    More checks on individuals will be added during Q2 with checks on businesses scheduled to be worked on during Q3.

    Hi Joanna

    The standard CCH Trust pages do not use Notes to the Accounts and include all the detail in the principle financial statements.

    However the standard CCH Probate pages do include Notes.

    The note number of specific notes can be picked up in a paragraph using a formula like :
    Accrued income is shown in note {Note,note04ai}.

    The pages used to print the notes can be printed using a formula like:
    … as shown in the Notes to the accounts on pages {NotePageRange,0}.

    One point that catches some users out is that you have to preview the full accounts to see note and page references; they are not visible if you just view one page.

    Hopefully one or other of these formulae gives you what you are looking for.

  16. Please can you make this process a bit more user friendly. You have to do too many clicks into different screens and it just becomes cumbersome. Could you not just do a right click to add/delete. To delete an asset you have to go through 2 or 3 screens and then click delete twice, very time consuming from a users point of view

  17. At present any Excel templates in Document Management lose their Tables and Filters when a document is created. These are very useful features in Excel and we are likely to want to use DM to create working papers more and more. Particularly as Audit Automation is going to join Accounts Production in Central in the future.

    At present these templates need to be kept outside of Central, which is not ideal.

  18. Currently you are only able to import brought forward assets from Excel, it would be useful to be able to import current year additions, as these can be exported from various bookkeeping software in csv format.

  19. It would be useful to have a tick box to indicate if an asset is held under hire purchase/finance lease and then a report to total all of those assets. This is needed for disclosure purposes in the accounts.

    Even better, the disclosures in AP would be automatically populated from this information.
