  1. In respect to the Contact Records that are generated as part of a client Tax Return (e.g. employer contacts/bank contacts etc etc).

    Can there be an indicator within the record that shows that the record is linked to a Client Tax Return and which Client it is, with a potential report that also shows this information

    Reason is that when you try to delete a contact, if the contact is linked to a Tax Return, you cannot delete the record. It would be useful to understand the relationship between the contact and Tax Return to enable efficient database management and…

  2. On the Prior Period Adjustment note (note100), the term 'Fixed assets' on the BS tab, cell C8 to be replaced by the formula =AP("#term3"), as used in the SOFP.

    This would then use the narrative 'Non-current assets' where applicable, instead of Fixed assets.

  3. It would be great to be able to choose extra fields with "multiple" options on the client search screen. They could be displayed as "optionA, optionB, optionC" for example (with character limits if required).

  4. Would it be possible to have the option to turn off the duplication of receipt number check when uploading cash transactions or making transfers ? Our team are currently experiencing the below issue:

    1. When posting, using the CSV spreadsheet to CCH, any 2 receipts with similar references and similar amount
      Gets confused by CCH and will only post one of the receipts and then come up with an error message of
      Duplicate posting.

    2. If you then try to post the other receipts separately, with the same reference, it won’t let you. Even when you
      Alter the reference slightly it won’t…

  5. The software should be more streamlined in sending documents for approval, obtaining that approval and recording it on the system and then permitting the submission of those documents on the clients’ behalf.
    This should apply to Accounts production, corporation tax and personal tax at least.
    I appreciate users may have their own methods but what seems missing is a specific ‘send for approval’ and marking of ‘approval given’. If One lick is used then this should flow back to populate an approved box.

  7. When setting up Extra Fields for a client or contact, we have the ability to mark them as mandatory. However, the application of the mandatory status is applicable to the entire field and not whether it is a Client or a Contact field. For example, you may want an "industry type" as mandatory for a client, but not for a contact however, you'd still want to capture that information in both types of records. At the moment you create the extra field and make it applicable by ticking client and / or contact and then you tick the Mandatory tick…

  8. An assignment search currently displays completed Jobs (even though the 'include completed jobs' box at the bottom of page is not ticked. Please could this be rectified as it's making managing reviewing open Jobs very difficult.

    The same occurs in the Job Management homepage - completed Jobs are included.

  9. To have a print driver that will allow printing of documents straight to CCH document filer into the client/folder structure. At moment single sheets printed to pdf (for presentation to upload to cch gateway) are saved as pddf to desktop and then uploaded to cch. A print driver would bridge that gap and reduce clicks.

  10. The character limit for a company name on Companies House is 160 characters (inc spaces), however on CCH we can only enter 60 characters. Please can the limited on central be increased?

  11. As a new user to CCH but nevertheless an experienced use of accounts and tax production software I expect to have to refer to user guides to learn how the process works in this application.

    I could apply this following request to any of the modules.

    Most of the CCH user guides I have read appear to be written by programmers for their fellow programmers and lack the clarity for a user in a real live environment.

    My request is that all user guides should contain screenshot images of the processes to be used and followed as this will help…

  12. To have the ability to see what WIP is being rolled forward on a bill once it is submitted, you can currently see the Bill amount and write off amount but there is no way of seeing what a manager is rolling forward. thsi doesn't give a clear picture to those authorising.

  13. We need to restrict staff from opening up assignments that have been placed on hold. There is currently no permission on this so we cannot restrict it. Please create a new permission, similar to the one that allows staff to re-open closed assignments. Alternatively could you let admins have the ability to create permissions for their practice.

  14. Please add Bulk Update ability to close old jobs eg. Personal Tax assignment --> Job 2023.

    This request was possibly another UserVoice request called "Delete Job" raised in May 2020 which was marked as COMPLETED on 18/01/24 - does this mean we can do this? Can we otherwise have a script for doing this please? Thanks!

  16. Currently there is no area to add details of assets unless you are dealing with the disposal - shares, property, etc.

    Often clients will give you acquisition details for an asset such as the date of acquisition, purchase cost, incidental costs, enhancement expenditure for property, and it would be really useful to be able to store this directly in CCH.

    Our old software had this feature and therefore has a lot of this data stored in it, which we are unable to transfer to CCH.

  18. To convert a client to a contact instead of getting error "unable to do so because of assignments".
    We still need to AML directors/shareholders of limited companies, who no longer have self assessment or wish to do their tax return themselves. Currently have to close the client and then create as a contact.

  19. We would like the ability to assign a Task to more than 1 employee. Currently only 1 employee can be assigned a task but can we have the possibility to add more than 1 person?

  20. Currently it seems you can only import three fields: Description, Date and Cost into the Additions section. However you then have to manually update all the other mandatory fields. Facility to include the extra mandatory fields?
