Client approvals
The software should be more streamlined in sending documents for approval, obtaining that approval and recording it on the system and then permitting the submission of those documents on the clients’ behalf.
This should apply to Accounts production, corporation tax and personal tax at least.
I appreciate users may have their own methods but what seems missing is a specific ‘send for approval’ and marking of ‘approval given’. If One lick is used then this should flow back to populate an approved box.

Upload to Multiple Codes Prevents Task
If a document is uploaded to multiple client codes and then a task is created, the task does not show up on task lists, only on the documents inbox.
Tasks only show up on the task lists if a document is uploaded to one code, the task created and then the second client code added.
This increases the likelihood of documents going missing as most staff only use the task list not the documents in box.
We have 'lost' several documents as a result of this as staff do not always upload and add the task in the right order…3 votes -
Support Microsoft 365 AutoSave functionality
Something that will prevent a lot of headache for your clients going forward! AutoSave will be enabled by default for a lot of people when migrating to new versions of Office, currently trying to upload or checkin when AutoSave is enabled does nothing.

Assignment Frequency & Algorithm
Currently, the 'weekly' algorithm only allows you to choose Wk1 / Wk2 ... Wk 50 / Wk 52 etc. It would be more helpful if the algorithm could relate to a particular date e.g. 'week-ending' 4-Apr and it then repeated weekly by date moving forward.

Reduction in scan quality
The scan quality can drop drastically when using the Scan function. This does not happen when the same pdf document is uploaded into DM directly.
Can we have the ability to drag and drop pdf documents in the Scan area where we only want to use the splitting function and not the OCR function which reduces the quality please.3 votes -
When "email already filed" message comes up add Doc iD in message
Its very difficult to track which email you have open if you have a lot of emails with the same or similar titles or many in a conversation

In pick list on workflow view don't include inactive workflows in the choice
When you have the table on one of your views there is a pick list in the bottom right. The list includes all workflows, even those that are inactive.
Please could those be hidden if there is a tick in the maintenance screen to make them inactive. It would hide unused workflows and previous versions that are not needed.

Associated contact details of open clients
Contact details of associated open clients - when attempting to run a report of email addresses of contacts associated with a client I can get everything I need but unable to filter out associated contacts of open clients. This would be really useful for producing a mailing list for e-newsletters where we act for a company but not a director (we would stil want the director to receive the newsletter). Equally, the company's financial coltroller etc etc who is associated should receive.

Ability to add custom algorithms or Ability to overtype standard job names
As we use some customised job names we can't use the Roll Forward facility because you can't customise the algorithm. This would be useful in both saving time for regular jobs (ie monthly roll forward) and would ensure that the same format is being used by all staff

New task permission for staff to re-open an assignment that's "on hold"
We need to restrict staff from opening up assignments that have been placed on hold. There is currently no permission on this so we cannot restrict it. Please create a new permission, similar to the one that allows staff to re-open closed assignments. Alternatively could you let admins have the ability to create permissions for their practice.

Mandatory Field Settings : Client vs Contact Record
When setting up Extra Fields for a client or contact, we have the ability to mark them as mandatory. However, the application of the mandatory status is applicable to the entire field and not whether it is a Client or a Contact field. For example, you may want an "industry type" as mandatory for a client, but not for a contact however, you'd still want to capture that information in both types of records. Bulk Create Employee Timesheets
It would be very useful to be able to bulk create employee timesheets so that at the end of a week or month when you know individuals haven't done their timesheets, you can bulk create those that are missing, rather than having to go into each employee and create separately.

Workflow Email Notification - Support Microsoft365 users
Wolters Kluwer / CCH do not support Microsoft365 for email notification for workflow steps.
Considering Microsoft365 is the most widely used platform it make no sense why we cannot use it. Even WK/CCH internally is on this platform!
I recently tried to introduce workflow email notification and found the to enable it you must put the credentials into a table within the back end of your SQL server, When dealing with support I have now been told I have done everything correct but 365 is not supported.

Losses, CAs, etc should roll forward automatically when an amendment is made in prior year
We amended 2023 and that changed the loss c/f and the capital allowances c/f position.
I expected CCH to automatically update 2024 with the new b/f figures but it didn't and there is no way to force it to do so. Manual override is required.
Request: that CCH be updated to allow changed c/f figures to automatically update in the following year. Other software has done this for decades.

Extra fields for contacts (like clients) and jobs (like workflow)
Can we have configuration keys to enable extra fields to be visible for field chooser in these 2 areas too:
- Contacts (find contact screen) like we have for clients

Billing explanation
It would be useful to be able to enter a billing explanation during the billing wizard rather than having to exit and edit the bill amounts again to access the feature.

Change to Procedure Central.dbo.GN_RetrieveTeamEmploy
When searching for owners in the Responsibility tab, it is currently not possible to enter a combined first and last name.
Could you please update the stored procedure responsible for returning these results to support combined name searches? For reference, I’ve included a snippet of the SQL procedure currently in use, along with two additional lines that illustrate how I would approach filtering results to support this functionality as if I was the change owner.
Let me know if you need further clarification or a full example.
