SQL error in reporting
When running a report, if any filters are added then the report does not work and throws up an SQL error. The suggested workaround is to use the filter editor which also does not work well, as when a new filter is added in the editor, the list of report headings which you can filter by are all invisible. You therefore have to guess which report heading you are selecting in the list, which looks blank but each row in the list does actually correspond to a report heading.

Editable Text field to show on Workflow homepage
It would be very useful to have a field to add notes that is NOT linked to a particular step; but the workflow as a whole. Then the partner/manager can see any issues affecting that workflow without having to drill into the individual steps of the workflow each time.

Where a tax return or set of accounts is published to DM, have the ability to set the assignment it should be tagged to as well.

FTSE 350 data feed
calculating DRIP/SCRIP dividends using the FTSE data feed does not automatically calculate the amount of shares purchased from each dividend. You therefore have to calculate this manually and then update each dividend with the new number of shares. Additionally, once you have calculated the number of shares and detailed them in the data feed, and posted the dividends, if you go back into the data feed to update/post anything else, the shareholding amounts reset to their original values.
It would be helpful if the data feed tracked DRIP and SCRIP dividends so that we did not have to calculate them…

When opening a client if ON HOLD this flags up for further investigation. An additional status like SEE NOTES then the flag/flash directs to any instruction re client

Assets held under hire purchase/finance lease
It would be useful to have a tick box to indicate if an asset is held under hire purchase/finance lease and then a report to total all of those assets. This is needed for disclosure purposes in the accounts.
Even better, the disclosures in AP would be automatically populated from this information.

Allow viewing and zoom controls on prior period finalised working papers
Once a period has been finalised, everything gets locked down (which is good), however this extends to the viewing controls in Working Papers.
The entire pdf/excel/word viewer is locked down, rather than just the "edit" button. (Seems like lazy software development to me).This is then frustrating to review prior period documents for reference, as you can't even zoom in on them etc. I agree, buttons such as edit and checking out etc should be disabled, but the zoom controls and viewing the document shouldn't be locked down.

Unable to delete clients and contacts linked to group billing
When trying to delete closed clients we keep getting the message 'This client cannot be deleted as it has taken part in group billing'
Can we please have a solution for removing closed clients linked to group billing?

Tax Return information request
Please can the ability to pull through tax deducted at source on employment/pension income be added to the information request template so that it can be displayed separately?
Additionally, there does not seem to be the option to pull through totals for expenditure categories from business tax. The functionality is there for rental property expenditure categories, so could it be added similarly for business tax?

Add a collapse all button for the different folders
when there are a lot of documents, it takes a while to scroll down to the folder I want to look in, so to be able to collapse all folders and then straightaway see the folder I want would be more effiicient.

Update Timesheet details when filing to DM
I think it would be useful if, when filing an email or document, you could also update your time sheet at the same time so that the same description can be pulled through on both.
As is stands we are duplicating time on these tasks.

To be able to have a PDF as a document template
It would be useful to be able to have PDF's as a document template E.g. HMRC 64-8 'Authorising your agent' is a PDF document taken from the HMRC website and we need this in place for all clients.

Document sorting order by date and time
When sorting documents by date we have them sorted with the latest documents at the top of the search list. However we note that if there is more than 1 document that day it puts the document with the most recent timestamp at the bottom of that date list. If sorting by date order then could the time in which saved/modified/uploaded follow the same logic with the most recent at the top.

Choice of delivery option in initial setup of client or contact
In the default tab of existing client there is a delivery option for invoices and statements to be sent by email or post with the default being post.
On initial setup of a client in step 7 of 8 there is no option to choose the default delivery meaning all clients get set to post it would be better if the option was available as this turns out to be a costly exercise until someone goes into clients separately to alter the default

Lock working papers once reviewed
Working papers can be edited once it has been approved by a manager/partner. It would be beneficial to "lock" the file to prevent editing after approval, or once it has been approved, requiring a separate "document release" button within the WP screen that then allows editing but then requires the file to be approved once more. Property expenses
It would be useful to be able to enter expenses for a property for comparative purposes and then be able to choose between the actual expenses and the £1k property income allowance.
Additionally, it is not possible to enter unused finance costs brought forward into the software when you are claiming the property allowance. Where we are claiming the property allowance and carrying forward unused finance costs, we therefore have to make a manual note of the amounts to carry forward. We should be able to record this in the relevant box to carry forward to the next tax year.

Add and deleting of assets
Please can you make this process a bit more user friendly. You have to do too many clicks into different screens and it just becomes cumbersome. Could you not just do a right click to add/delete. To delete an asset you have to go through 2 or 3 screens and then click delete twice, very time consuming from a users point of view

Tidy up smart reports/reporting
Currently there are lots of reports in Smart reports/Reporting tab some of which are useful, some of which are pointless and unsuable for any meaningful information unless heavily edited. I can hardly ever get the information I need easily or at the click of a button.
When creating reports some fields are unreportable on, for example employee charge out rates, you can only report on them from a WIP perspective, not just pull a report to see whos rate is what. We should be able to report on every field in some way or another.
