Improve the filing options
When filing a document in CCH and in the filing box, it would be better that when selecting the document type or assignment it would recognise more than the first character to allow ease for selection. For example in assignment if we wanted to choose Corporation Tax, the only 'quick' option is to type C in the box and scroll down. If it recognised the first say 3 characters we could type COR and it would save having to scroll down the list, which for document type is longer.

Workflows at Assignment Level
We appear to be running into an issue where the Workflows aren't showing a true reflection of ongoing work.
We have three offices (Ascot, Fleet and Putney)
If we have an Ascot Client but someone in Fleet is doing an assignment on it this will not show on the Fleet workflow, it only shows on the Ascot one.
This is because the workflow view is looking at the responsibility level instead of the assignment level.
We would like a separate workflow to look at the assignment level rather than the responsibility level.3 votes -
Extra Field Groups in Database Fields
When you create a template in CCH which has database fields you are also able to see extra fields in this list.
If you put your extra fields in groups they no longer appear.
We would like all extra fields in all groups to be added to the database field drop down1 vote -
Change SA302 format
It would be better to show tax refunds on the SA302 in brackets to distinguish it from tax underpaid which will then match the Total tax due at the end of the document

Default workflow under assignment/jobs
Is there any way under assignments/jobs that we can default the latest workflow. When we go into the clients assignments and there are different versions of the workflow it always defaults to the first workflow version rather than the latest version

Publishing to DM
When publishing directly to DM, please can we have the option to have the tax computation appear behind the CT600 as well as the existing way, where it appears at the front?

DPL tagging process and non numeric tags on wages
Tags are being allocated automatically by the CCH on the DPL for wages. When accepting and clearing these a message pops up to say non numeric tags have been allocated and do we want to remove. If leaving them in it causes errors, removing means retagging. Support suggest this is the way that CCH is and to remove the tags. If tags are being auto allocated then can they be designed in a way which won't cause further errors.

Restrict employee access
Restrict access to employee records from the billing screen. Currently employee record can be accessed even though the permissions restrict in a different area

Make Name fields configurable so they show Firstname Lastname not Lastname, Firstname
It would be great if name fields eg Assignment Partners, Assignment Managers, Partners, Managers, Client Name etc could be configurable so we can show it as Firstname Lastname not Lastname, Firstname as then it would match other systems

Ability to see other team members in the preview section of the find clients page
We would find it very useful to be able to see other team member responsibilities on the Find Clients page rather than having to go into the client to see the team responsibility. We use these to keep a record of who is dealing with each client.

Could the Employee Planner be a homepage control
It would be helpful to have a homepage control which shows the Employee Planner, so we can quickly see staff availability from a homepage, rather than having to go File-View Planner.
You can click the calendar icon at the bottom of the Tasks & Appointments control, but this seems to show only your own line of the planner, and cannot be edited. It would be helpful if there was a similar button to go to the full editable planner.

Adding new tasks to assignment template
When a new task code is created it automatically appears on any assignment template that uses codes and there ore has to be manually removed from those assignments that do not need/want that particular code. It would better if we were able to filter the addition of tasks just to the assignments we require.

Delete working papers created
When rolling forward working papers are created and filed automatically in DM, however, there is no option to delete the WP in DM if we have to delete an accounting period, which does happen, so we end up having a duplicate set of WP in DM

Add a new task from the Tasks & Appointments homepage
In order to add a new Task/To Do item you have to go to the client search screen or into a client to see the Tasks/To Do icon on the ribbon.
Please could this icon be added to the ribbon on the homepage screens so that a new Task can be added directly when reviewing a list of tasks.1 vote -
Address Change - List those that it is linked to
When you change an address you are notified if there are other contacts linked to the address that you are "Stopping/Changing". However it simply states the number of contacts and not who they are. You have to say do not update the linked contacts, then do a search for the old postcode and manually change any that are applicable - sometimes it is not applicable to change all but a couple.
Having a list of the linked clients and be able to select those that need to change would be great and save a lot of time

Company Secretarial - addresses
Can the residential and service addresses of PSC's be included in the "Compare at CH" tab in the same way as Directors' details? This will allow us to confirm that they are also up to date .

Need more Addressee Merge Fields
Add AddresseePref, AddresseeFirst, AddresseeMiddle, AddresseeLast name fields so letters can be addressed to specific addressees at companies without typing the prefix and name in.

Pension Annual Allowance Calculator as a tracking tool
Although CCH PT will calculate the AA taper via the pensions tax charge entry, if an entry is made the Ai pages are generated with nothing on them. Often we wish to just track the AA and there is no charge to report.
Can a fully functional AA calculator be introduced? We used Digita before CCH and they had a great tool that would work out the AA/taper/charges, etc.

Pop up warning user that other assignments on client are set to Invoice
When opening a new assignment on a client it would reduce a lot of error if there was a pop up box to tell the user that other assignments on that client are set as Invoice and not RFP.
We do have a report set up to monitor this but it can be too late if an assignment is opened and bill raised straight away.2 votes -
Ability to set default nominal code across all practice companies
We have set different nominal codes for each assignment, however, this only appears as the default for our main company. If we set up a new assignment and change the company to one of our sister companies the default nominal reverts back to "Fees". It would be a lot less work, and leave less room for error, if we could set the default to carry through all of our companies.
