Defaulting status to draft client when creating a client, rather than full.
When creating a client the default status is 'full'. We would like this to be draft, or at least the option of selecting one or the other.
Sometimes full clients are created when they should be draft, meaning that time can be posted to them when potentially they are still at the engagement stage.

Consistency of terminology (Partner or Client Partner)
Different lists in Central refer to Partner differently. In find client screen it is Partner, where as in Workflow it is Client partner. These should be consistent throughout the CCH suite.

Add in the Personal Tax - Other Income as a reportable field for MTD Reports
We have been comparing figures from Acs Production against the existing MTD reports and the Other Income figure under TXOTHBUSINC is not reportable within the Personal Tax options within Reporting. It would be very useful to have this added. Thanks

filter home page tool by manager
Could you add the ability to filter the tasks home page tool by Manager. All other responsibilities are there except Manager.

Ability to group and therefore expand and collapse relationships on associated tab
Add the expand and collapse option to the "Associated" tab by the relationship in the same way that you can in the "Extra" tab and "Document Centre". This would mean you could view a list of just the directors for example.

In stead of having to add a schedule to each assignment you should be able to use both to input something onto employee planner

CSI update 2022.200.10707
Since this update an extra fields warning pops up every time you file a document in CCH and change the Type - the pop up says "Type selection has changed the Extra Fields". I have been told that this is a new feature from the update that cannot just be switched off. If people are filing numerous emails and documents each day this pop up is going to (a) be very annoying and (b) cause extra time to file anything which adds up - its not acceptable that this cant be switched off. Please change this.

Access to the customer community direct from Central without another password
Prior to the new customer community being launched it was far easier to log calls and view the support area. I don't understand why I have to keep finding and adding a customer support username & password every time I want to use this, particularly when I am clicking on a link within central. We never used to have to. Why doesn't central identify me as a valid user without the need to keep adding a password - I have already used various passwords to use CCH.

We are working on how we can resolve this to make it a more seamless log in experience.
For now you can you use your browser to remember your log in and password credentials to enable a more seamless experience.

Client To Do Tab & Tasks & Appointment Tab have Job Column
We use Assignments, Workflows, Jobs, Unfortunately we cannot add a "Job" column and therefore although you have the workflow name you cannot tell which job it relates to.

It would be better where the SA302 shows a tax refund for that figure to be in brackets to distinguish it from tax underpaid and to match the format of the figure for total tax due at the end of the document

Opening all three boxes 6.1 on SA800 re exporting of goods and services
It would be helpful if the three new boxes 6.1 in the SA800 relating to the export of goods and services could be opened fully so that all three boxes can be unticked rather than defaulting to neither as this means they are not exporting.
The reporting of exporting goods and services is optional as per the SA850 guide and therefore there will be cases we do not wish to report this on. (most cases probably)6 votes -

Enable the roll forward of data to be refreshed after a new a/p is created
At present all computations are entirely independent, so changes to a prior year do not flow through to later ones. this means computations can get out of synch.
It would be useful to have the option of carrying closing balances forward - ideally as a function in year one, so when you've changed that year you can cascade the changes onward.
This has come up particularly as we have a new client where we are working on two years simultaneously, and now have to re-key all the provisions, capital allowances and so on in the later year. IT would also…

Currently users have to click Check Out and then click Edit.

Add reg no to find clients tab
In the filed chooser on the find client tab, please add reg no. It takes too much time to have to open each client to verify the companies house number when I should just be able to look at in the find clients tab. The UTR is visible there, so I don't know why the reg no isn't..

Include middle name for document/email filing - more than one client with same name
We frequently get frustrated when filing bulk documents and emails when we encounter a name which is common to more than one client. Because we can only see the forename and surname, it isn't possible to know which one to file against. Is it possible for the pane to show middle names (obviously where available) as this would reduce the problem significantly.

Improve tagging when correcting tags in 1 set to avoid having to do the process twice
It is time consuming having to tag both the members set and the small companies filing set individually, especially when having to amend any tags. For example a common tagging error is when a note spans 2 pages (not sure why the software can't recognise this) so you have to delete, adjust and amend the tag in both sets doing it twice. It would be better if the software recognised any changes to tagging made in the members set and replicated these in the filing copy.

Creating PDF from document in the document center
When creating a PDF from a document in the document center, the only prompt is for Assignment and Job, can it also default to the "File name" and "Type" of the original file being converted. We are having to change these fields later on. It would be ideal to get the normal profiling window so we can set this as needed at the same time.
