Tidy up smart reports/reporting
Currently there are lots of reports in Smart reports/Reporting tab some of which are useful, some of which are pointless and unsuable for any meaningful information unless heavily edited. I can hardly ever get the information I need easily or at the click of a button.
When creating reports some fields are unreportable on, for example employee charge out rates, you can only report on them from a WIP perspective, not just pull a report to see whos rate is what. We should be able to report on every field in some way or another.

Add Powerpoint files to the DM template
It would be really useful to be able to add Powerpoint files to the DM templates instead of just standard Word and Excel.

- - UNSPEC User
We have a few users who have now been disabled. As we didn't keep on top of the tasks they had they now show as '- - UNSPEC'
The only way to get a list of all tasks assigned to '- - UNSPEC' we need to do IF employee = NULL then sort by employee.
It would be handy to be able to select '- - UNSPEC' in the employee list.5 votes -
Genders
There are currently only two genders (Male/Female). Please could you arrange for this to be expanded so that we can fit our clients into the correct description? As this is a protected characterstic under the Equality Act we would like this to be implemented ASAP.

Change Employee Category to count in hours rather than days for staff who do not work the same hours per day.
Due to covid we now have 3 members of staff who have changed to part time and do not work the same hours per day. CCH cannot cope with the balances now on leave for these staff.
Employee categories need a standard day in hours stipulating and the employee leave tab only accepts days.
So if a staff member works 7.5 hours on a Tuesday but only 4.5 days on a Wednesday, taking a day off requires less hours on a Tuesday.
Can employees like this revert their employee category and employee absence tab to hours only to show the…4 votes -
Include fields for Engagement letter and ID in the main tab for all clients
i'm sure this must have been mentioned before but isn't it a bit stupid that the main tab has no field for the date of the enagagement letter for each client and a space to record what ID has been taken to comply with money laundering regs? this should also then link into things like accounts production? any reason why no one has kicked off about this before? one of many irks i'm afraid....

SecTAX - Nominal Quantity
With the increasing popularity of cryptocurrency, I am starting to have clients buying and selling Bitcoin for investment purposes. It would be useful to use SecTAX to record the purchases and sales. However, one Bitcoin is so expensive my clients only buy fractions of one Bitcoin. Could SecTAX be upgraded so that it would be possible to record less than one unit i.e., 0.0012345 for example.

Ability to change the source when importing receipts via CSV
When bulk importing receipts (Bookkeeping > Cash Posting > CSV Import,) there isn't the option to include the source of them - other than CSV
- So we cannot report on how the receipt came in e.g. BACS
It would be great to be able to include this, or change it from CSV.Requested by KNILL JAMES

WIP Enquiries that include Child do not show the Company Name of the Child only the Code
Can a WIP Enquiry that includes "Child" display the company name as an option. Currently you can only choose the Company code, which is not helpful if you have a number of Child entities.

You should have a setting whereby you collapse the folders (job and assignments) on doucment Centre
On document Centre you shouldnt have to scroll or go through a number of pages. There should be an option to collapse or expand all folder.

More field options for Suppliers
Can we have fields like telephone number, email address etc. available in the choose fields option - like we can on Clients? Also, the option to preview more information would be great

SAVING ATTACHMENTS DOWN FROM PREVIOUSLY SAVED EMAILS
Can we please have the ability to save attachments straight into Document Management when we open up an email within CCH. If the original user does not saved them down/the emails are automatically saved down it is a very long process to save it down separately

Adding Cash residue when starting a new portfolio.
When bringing forward balances on entering a client portfolio there is no space to include the cash residue that has been b/f. We have been advised to manually add extra shares - this means that the portfolio is not technically correct. Can this please be added to give a correct position on the client's portfolio? Ta

Tasks & Appointments Homepage - ability to add Job Name Column
As we use the Tasks & Appointments Homepage mainly as it is far easier to see exactly what "you" have to do, it would be extremely helpful to be able to add the "Job Name" or "Job/Schedule" to the page. It does not appear in the Field Chooser List - even though it does in other homepages such as Workflows & Job Sheets.

Close client routine
Closing a client should promtp to close all open workflows, joblines, and tasks. At the moment you can close a client with a part completed tax return workflow.
Also it shoud not be possible to create a tax return when a client is closed (currently it is).

Reporting from Online Filing
It would be useful to be able to report from the Online Filing section of CCH Personal tax. We would be looking to report examples such as IRMarks, whether the return is an original, amendment 1, amendment 2 etc.

Working papers - Previewing/Printing
When trying to preview and print and entire set of working papers all pages appear in a portrait format, even if they are a landscape document in the working papers originally. For example the Fixed Asset Register report from CCH itself prints in a landscape orientation but when this is included in the working papers full preview, the edges of the document are cut off and your not able to view all the information. There is no function to then turn the page orientation either.
