  1. When bringing forward balances on entering a client portfolio there is no space to include the cash residue that has been b/f. We have been advised to manually add extra shares - this means that the portfolio is not technically correct. Can this please be added to give a correct position on the client's portfolio? Ta

  2. It would be helpful if the three new boxes 6.1 in the SA800 relating to the export of goods and services could be opened fully so that all three boxes can be unticked rather than defaulting to neither as this means they are not exporting.
    The reporting of exporting goods and services is optional as per the SA850 guide and therefore there will be cases we do not wish to report this on. (most cases probably)

  3. Add the expand and collapse option to the "Associated" tab by the relationship in the same way that you can in the "Extra" tab and "Document Centre". This would mean you could view a list of just the directors for example.

  4. We have had workflows terminate due to either an error on the database or with the steps on the workflow. What would be helpful is if a warning or notification box came up when a workflow terminated itself. Currently it just appears as if the task has completed and if the next step isn't assigned to the person completing the task on which it terminated then it isn't always obvious this is what has happened so could be missed.

  5. When creating a client the default status is 'full'. We would like this to be draft, or at least the option of selecting one or the other.

    Sometimes full clients are created when they should be draft, meaning that time can be posted to them when potentially they are still at the engagement stage.

  6. We would like the default delivery options - both for VAT invoices/bills and statements to be Email. Currently 'Post' is the default for all new clients - can we have a new config key so we can choose which option best suits our practice?

  7. We are unable to change a contact type (from LLP to Limited for example). I can see this makes sense where tax returns or accounts have already been produced, but it would be useful if we could make the change if they have not been created, even if bills have been raised, or at least have a work around or override option.

  8. It is very tricky to edit the information request templates and they are very easy to break. It would be useful to have the facility to be able to add the additional information we want, such as breakdowns of property expenses and employment income/PAYE deducted, ourselves, and to be able to make this conditional like the boxes already present (i.e. they only appear on the information request for each client if they have that relevant source of income). It is currently not easy to understand how the conditional formatting works in the template or to replicate this, but if we…

  9. Editing the annual allowance tracker in this data entry screen causes the additional information pages to be printed, even when no pension contributions are made, so the additional info pages are blank. It would be useful to be able to get rid of these pages.

    In addition, the description on the pension savings tax charge schedule reads "amount saved this year in excess of annual allowance" - even when this is not the case, and the amount saved does not exceed the annual allowance. It would be good to have this description updated.

  10. Filter workflows against assignment team.

    When on the home screen, you are able to filter the workflow list based on the team that the client is assigned to, but we would like to be able to filter against the team that the assignment that the workflow is attached to. The reason for this is, it is not always the team that the client is assigned to that is doing the job.

  11. We have a lot of sales invoices that change each month/quarter, it would be very useful to be able to import our sales invoices into CCH by csv in a similar way to the Xero sales import process.

  12. Introduce the ability to select several bills and change the posting date in bulk. It is currently only possible to do this for one bill at a time but when you are sending thousands of bills each month and approvals aren't done immediately you might need to update the date on hundreds at a time which just isn't possible with the manual way it currently has to be done

  13. Increase the available space in the fields to enter information for items 5 and 6 on 2nd page of the form. We can currently only include 60 characters in each field, which is not enough and there is plenty of room on the form itself for more.

Anyone else find it totally infuriating that if you go to file accounts at companies house and they fail because you have used the wrong authentication code, that - 1. you have to log right out of CCH entirely and then log back in to try again otherowise it uses the same incorrect code - and 2. that in the second year of filing you have to put the darn code in again - it doesnt retain the codes you enter? what a waste of my time!!! this needs sorting - along with the issue of the Filer showing that…

  15. CCH does not allow you to amend a write off type and keep historic entries as was.
    We therefore need to add a new write off type but need to disable the old one that is no longer required.This is currently not possible.

  16. With only the option to delete a contact it is extremely frustrating to have to move documents from a contact to a client in document manager in order to delete them because you have to keep the documents for a certain period of time by law. These are contacts that we do not want to show up in reports anymore but may well be needed again in the future which if they are deleted means setting them up again and having to search for where their documents are to re attach them to the contact.

  17. We have a few users who have now been disabled. As we didn't keep on top of the tasks they had they now show as '- - UNSPEC'
    The only way to get a list of all tasks assigned to '- - UNSPEC' we need to do IF employee = NULL then sort by employee.
    It would be handy to be able to select '- - UNSPEC' in the employee list.

  18. I understand that it is not possible for you to restrict foreign tax according to the Double Taxation Treaties. However, a warning to remind us to check if a restriction is necessary would be helpful.

  19. It would be helpful if rather than notifying the partner it notified another member of the team, generally it is only managers and team members who are concerned in the workflow being updated and moving work forward rather than the partner.

  20. When a bill is drafted with a write off a reason must be entered depending on system parameters. However it is impossible to edit this reason if it is an incorrect reason or you realise a new reason needs to be created in maintenance. This is when the bill is on draft so it all should be editable. The workaround of reducing the WO below the threshold, saving the bill, and then taking the WO above the threshold is really not a good workaround and can amend changing complex WIP allocations.
