  1. I have had confirmation from Companies House iXBRL department that electronic filing of Incorporated Charity accounts is now possible. We have a high proportion of Charity clients and would like to take advantage of this.

    When will this functionality be added to Review and Tag?

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    I believe we already have the ability to fully tag an incorporated charity using the correct taxonomy so I am not sure why we would not be able to electronically file the accounts.

    I will do some investigations and get back to you.

  2. The used tags report which exports to CSV is a long and wide report which is difficult to read or view - could we have something more compact and easier to print?

  3. If a block of information - say a related party note which has a mixture of text and figures - contains multiple tags, it is very difficult to select a particular tag to edit or delete.
    Review & Tag just presents a list of tags without any indication which is which - there should be a highlight to indicate which tag has been selected

  4. It would be good when an area of text has a number of tags to delete or edit a number of tags, rather than one at a time

    This is particularly useful when a document is tagged from a template

  5. HMRC do not provide the full UTR number in their confirmation emails anymore so we need a report for us to map which companies CT returns have been submitted and the date they have been accepted.

    Add Reporting fields to assist: "Status last changed date" and "Status last changed by"

  6. It would be helpful if the working papers module allowed you to drag and drop working papers rather than having to use the 'move up/down' buttons. It would also be useful if we could highlight multiple papers at once and move in bulk. Additionally, if the software allowed us to mark several working papers as 'prepared' in one go, this would save a lot of time. Many thanks

  7. Is there any way the 64-8 can be produced from the existing database, will save lot of our time to do it manually, can send a copy to client for authorisation.

  8. Currently you are only able to import brought forward assets from Excel, it would be useful to be able to import current year additions, as these can be exported from various bookkeeping software in csv format.

  9. CCH does not currently suport macro enabled excel templates to be stored within DM. Please extend the system to allow these,

  10. Proper ordered management of all the various documents supplied by clients would greatly help the review stage of a Tax Return - especially for those staff who had not prepared the Return. Tailored sections (to suit each firm/practice) for keeping standard WP files for all clients would make life much easier - as with CCH Audit Automation (ProAudit) and CCH Working Papers Management for Accounts Production.     We have a very exciting project in the early stages of development right now that we think will revolutionise the collation of documents for personal tax.

    Within that functionality will be concise document management to simplify the review process.

  11. It would be massively useful to all practices to have a simple report/document that compares the Tax Return data to the last year so you can have an at-a-glance comparative. This will allow an effective review once the Return is completed, as well as helping to complete the preparation.

    We currently keep track of all of the above on a paper template and I had hoped to use Return Review as a digital alternative, however I do not believe it is as useful as we hoped.

    Return Review does what we need in part, but much of what is produced…

  14. It would be useful to have a tick box to indicate if an asset is held under hire purchase/finance lease and then a report to total all of those assets. This is needed for disclosure purposes in the accounts.

    Even better, the disclosures in AP would be automatically populated from this information.

  16. It would be great to have a PDF button (like the one in the bills screen) where you can select an document press PDF and it converts to a PDF for you. the current process is to save as to a location and upload back to the document centre

  17. Sometimes a backup may need to be done during the day due to some planned activity. I need to be able to see who is logged in to get them out. All communication may have been sent out, some users may not remember and still be entering data. Then if a restore has to be done they would have lost any work entered during that time.

    Given that the software is on-premise and hosted in your local environment, it is not possible for the software to recognise active users.


    This will be considered as part of the development of our cloud solution.

  18. The ability to run reports against partnerships/LLP's is severely restricted as the content to report on is just not available.
    If there is an entry that can be made on a Tax Return (or anywhere in Central!) then there is a database netry and we should be able to report on it. This is just not the case and has not been for a number of years.

  19. When uploading documents it would help massively if you could change the date at this point rather than having to go back into the clients record, then document and change it there. Its very time consuming.

  20. It would be easier if we could use keyboard shortcuts for the 'admin' side of Central. For example, using Ctrl & backspace and Ctrl * C/V - these currently do not work and instead you get little squares.
