I presume this is the same issue we have - the scan window creates PDF’s in version 1.5 (Adobe 6.x) and for some reason these cannot be read on Apple’s default PDF viewer.
If the client installs the Adobe Acrobat app from the App Store and sets this as the default reader, then this apparently resolves the issue. However, we can’t dictate what clients should install on their apple devices so this is then an issue.
If we create the PDF on our multi function copier (Canon) then it creates PDF version 1.4 (Adobe 5.x) files which CAN be read on Apple’s default PDF reader.
We need an update to the scanner driver to allow us to determine which version PDF file is created so we can select the version which works for the client. It is possible on PDF printers such as Bullzip PDF and PDF24 to select the version file it will create so should be possible with the CCH PDF creator.
