  1. it would be useful to know that you need to right click the email address -the simple instruction is buried on page 31 of the user guide. This is not something you should have to consult the user guide for!

In the clientspace portal when the drop down list of team members available to email is chosen could the member's responsbility show as well - eg Joe Bloggs - Tax Manager, Mary Smith - Accounts Manager. That way the client can choose the relevant person for their email - especially useful for new clients or when staff responsibility changes

  4. When printing messages from CCH Central that the client has sent using the Portal, currently we can only print the entire thread unless we copy and paste into Word. Would it be possible to print individual messages?

  5. When a client accesses the Portal, it would be great to have thier outstanding bills displayed, each with a button to send payment. That payment could then be fed through internally, associated with the bill number for ease of processing internally.

  6. When you upload a document to the Portal, you choose which client contacts have permission to access it. However you cannot easily see which contacts have permission to view a file, and once a document is uploaded you cannot then give access to another contact at the same client.

    We need to be able to view the file permissions, and also have the ability to edit them if required.

  7. Rather than have employee users on the portal, the ability to create a "team" portal user where the employees have the access to the team portal. Personal tax team, Accounts team etc thus enable the messages to be picked up by more than user it was sent to.

  8. With the Portal becoming our main point of Contact with Clients.
    It would beneficial to have the ability to print off sections of a portal conversation rather than printing the entire message chain.

  9. Ability to design and set a default template to automatically populate when the team create new messages.

    We want to include similar disclaimers and company info similar to that we use in emails.

  10. When publishing to Portal from Accounts Production, you can only upload one set at a time. If i want to do full accounts and accounts for members this has to be done via two messages. Perhaps the Publish to Portal button could then ask which sets of accounts you wish to Publish and you can select multiple sets at once.

When publishing corporation tax returns to the Portal, the options appear to be either one PDF with no IR mark but you can then get the report at the end once approved or a zip folder (with IR mark) that then does not produce a report to confirm the return has been approved. Ideally, I would like to have the PDF in order to get the report (as confirmation of approval) and the return contains the IR mark.

  12. Add a way so that clients and ourselves can forward a message that has already been posted to the portal.

    Like how you can forward an email in outlook, gmail etc.

  14. To improve the practices users experience of using the portal I feel it would be better to add "Secure Portal Messaging" to the current Outlook plugin that CCH current has in place. Most users know how to use Outlook and would open up more options for users to be able to use formatting within messages obviously the client would still need the webpage for messages. As a secondary side to this point, it might also be worth adding in a "Guest" access for the portal for people who aren't apart of the client. In our case sometimes we need to…

    Unfortunately, we won't be taking this forward as the nature of M&D is to provide a secure portal which makes Outlook integration tricky. We will take the idea onboard for future consideration but as of now we are unable to implement this idea.

  16. For Portal folder structures there is currently mandatory folders that you can not remove or edit, for example years. Can these either have the option for us to remove or not be seen and it's causing issues for staff.

  18. We have lots of japanese clients who are signing up to the portal but when we receive their messages in Japanese all we can see is question marks. Would be very useful for all language packs to work as currently we cannot read messages being sent into us.

  19. Client users name appears very blurry. Allowing customisation of this would allow us to amend to fit in with the firm colour scheme.

  20. When replying to a message from a client it would be useful if the message box defaulted to a specified template so that we ensured the standard top / tail / boiler plate for our business was used. It would also save the user having to click to select the 'standard' template we use.
