How can we improve CCH Central Suite?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. Tax Return : Contact Records (Maintenance)

    In respect to the Contact Records that are generated as part of a client Tax Return (e.g. employer contacts/bank contacts etc etc).

    Can there be an indicator within the record that shows that the record is linked to a Client Tax Return and which Client it is, with a potential report that also shows this information

    Reason is that when you try to delete a contact, if the contact is linked to a Tax Return, you cannot delete the record. It would be useful to understand the relationship between the contact and Tax Return to enable efficient database management and…

  2. extend the character limit for the name of a company

    The character limit for a company name on Companies House is 160 characters (inc spaces), however on CCH we can only enter 60 characters. Please can the limited on central be increased?

  3. The ability to view wip beiong rolled forward on the bills to approve page

    To have the ability to see what WIP is being rolled forward on a bill once it is submitted, you can currently see the Bill amount and write off amount but there is no way of seeing what a manager is rolling forward. thsi doesn't give a clear picture to those authorising.

  4. Extra fields for contacts (like clients) and jobs (like workflow)

    Can we have configuration keys to enable extra fields to be visible for field chooser in these 2 areas too:
    - Contacts (find contact screen) like we have for clients
    - Jobs (job management) like we have for workflows

  5. Encrypt or hides the SQL sa password contained in the lookup.xml file present on every copy of CCH Central

    Encrypt or hides the SQL sa password contained in the lookup.xml file present on every copy of CCH Central.

    This is a huge oversight. Meaning any of our users can easily obtain our SQL sa password stored in plain text on every deploy folder and potentially destroy our SQL CCH DB.

  6. A report that shows Employees Task Permission

    We would like to have a report where it shows all Employees and what Security Group they fall under

  7. Add inactive option to internal partner list to remove ex-partners

    Ex-partners still appear in drop down searches even though the linked employee record is inactive. Having an inactive option in the Internal > Partners area would allow you to stop this.

  9. No exception report when deleting job

    When deleting a job, if there is a document in the job it doesn't do anything...no exception report. I would expect some message saying why it didn't do anything instead of having us guess.
