Live info re HMRC service when trying submitting VAT return
A user tried to submit an MTD VAT return on Monday 23 Sep
At this time HMRC site was undergoing planned maintenance
They apparently got a message along the lines of unknown error or problem with HMRC
It would have been more useful for there to be a live indicator of the status so they knew not to bother
