Error on end date of partner responsibility/ retrospective reporting
We had two partners retire - their clients needed to moved over to new partners on 1/5/2024. So the end date for the previous partner was 30/4/2024
ERROR WITH END DATE
Firstly, on the 30 April the clients showed on neither partner list so we could not extract the report data we needed. The date the partner ended doesn't seem to include the end date and you are unable to use the same end and start date. This meant for a day our clients were not allocated to any partner.
RETROSPECTIVE REPORTING
Secondly - there is no retrospective reporting. The reports are based on the date the report is generated. It would be useful to be able to report on fees raised for the year end, based on which Partner was responsible on that date.
The consequence of the above was that we had to reverse out individually all the responsibility dates etc. to revert the clients back to the original partner just to be able to generate the y/e reports. Then I will need to re-enter all the information again.
This also means that in the meantime the clients are temporally not under the correct partner for fees/reports/client calls until the re-allocation takes place again. This is why I had entered the dates in advance, so there was a smooth transfer between partners.
I believe the error with the end date should be fixed straight away. The retrospective reporting etc I would have expected as standard and am surprised this issue even arose.
